Week in photos #4 and #5 -Catch up

I actually have not touched my macbook for over two weeks, why? Well a combination of work deadlines, social things and getting sick:(.

Without further ado, the last two weeks in photos.

WEEK #4

I saw this on twitter on Sunday night and made it my task for the week to find it. Found it in the first combini I went into on the way to work on Monday 17th November. I like that Japanese magazines are now doing freebies that are actually good. I was getting sick of getting make up pouches.

Tuesday 18th November, work took everyone out for Korean BBQ buffet lunch in Shin Okubo as a reward for all our hard work:). It was so good! That night I cooked Ksk natto yaki soba, I love natto and used to eat it a lot when I lived alone. IMG_4748.JPG

Wednesday 19th was quiet, however I have been trying to document the lovely autumn weather we’ve been having recently.

Thursday’s dinner made by Ksk, he’s the cook in the house as I absolutely detest cooking. It was heavenly! He made Tuna Zuke don, which is soy sauce marinated raw tuna and avocado on rice.

Friday  21st was girls meet up with some of my favourite people! Mitsu was in town for a short while, so Nicola, Siobhan, Madeline and me all meet up for chats, drinks and purikura. It was the perfect evening, fun and relaxing.

Saturday 22nd was spent with Ksk, both he and I work Monday through Friday and on Sunday, so Saturdays are our only day together. We did what we normally do, took a lovely walk to nowhere special and chilled by the river eating bread and drinking hot tea.

Sunday 23rd was insanely busy, so much so my phone died. I worked in the morning and then studied for like 3 hours , meet up for coffee with my friend C and then meet up with Mistu, Nicola and Madeline again for Tacos in Naka Meguro.

WEEK #5

Monday 24th

I’ve spoken before about my love of Revlon’s colourburst lip crayons, so when I saw Elle Girl were giving away a free one with this month’s issue. Naturally I bought one or two:/.IMG_4906.JPG

Tuesday 25th, I meet up with Kathryn  and Stasia in Jiyugaoka and visited the Ra.a.g.f rabbit cafe and grabbed some food and chatted for a while after. Lovely evening, even though I stood in rabbit poo :((((.IMG_4929.JPG

Wednesday 26th I was sick. So I slept and watched Modern Family all day.

Thursday 27th I had to catch up on work I’d missed from being sick:( but I did manage to snap this autumn shot.

On Friday 28th I spotted this beautiful Christmas tree, I literally stopped and stood in awe of it for a moment, it was that beautiful. Since Ksk was out, I cooked ramen for myself and curled up to watch some shows while I felt ill and sorry for myself.

Saturday 29th was a chilled day with Ksk, I popped into Lush and tried to shop in peace… no luck. Lush staff always follow me and talk all the time:(.

Picked up a few bits and then walked around; we finished the day with gyoza and mulled wine. I was really surprised the gyoza restaurant had mulled wine, it’s not popular here.

At the gyoza place we had regular gyoza, cheese gyoza, lemon gyoza, kimchi gyoza, and the pink ones below, which were Sakura niku gyoza (horse meat). Horse meat can be quite a controversial topic amongst expats, personally I’m willing to try most things. These tasted like beef to me and where crazy oily, so not a fan.

On Sunday 30th, I went with some of my work colleagues to Disneyland. I was really looking forward to seeing the Christmas decorations as I missed out on the Halloween decorations. My colleague had planned to do osoroi (Matching outfits), which I’d never done before and I thought it sounded fun. In the end there were 8 of us dressed as santa’s wondering around a very busy Disneyland, to say we got some looks would be an understatement. In all honestly, I was under the impression more people did matching outfits for Disney, but I hardly saw any when I was there. It was a hilarious and exhausting day, so glad I got to participate in it :D.IMG_4998.JPG
