Pocky Midi X Kirin – Butter custard pocky and apple cinnamon tea.

I’m a sucker for limited edition varieties of snacks, and therefor Japan is the perfect country to indulge that in. Saying that, generally a lot of the season flavours that get released here just don’t interest me. The new Pocky x Kirin collaboration, did however catch my eye.

Firstly, there’s the packaging! How adorable and well thought out. You can align them  to create a prince and princess scene.IMG_7584   Secondly, the flavour. I love custard, I can’t always eat it ( eczema) but I do really love custard. So I rather predictably had to pick these up to try them and they do not disappoint. As the midi pocky are the adult version of regular pocky, this flavour thankfully isn’t too sweet and has a really lovely creamy buttery custard flavour. Since their shorter then regular pocky too, you get a bit more chocolate to your biscuit ratio.

Have you tried these? If yes, what did you think? If no, would you try them?

Hello! What do you mean when you say you can’t eat custard because of eczema? Is egg or milk a trigger? I ask because i have eczema and i didn’t know this! I always blamed the weather! 😩

    1. I suspect my eczema is caused by stress, milk and changes in the weather. There can be a number of reasons for eczema though, always best to see a dermatologist and dietician. 🙂
